Hell on HMS WAG! Harry Maguire and Jack Grealish’s families lead exodus off Qatar cruise ship after one partying resident URINATED into atrium from the fifth floor and celebrating fans kept them up at night

  • There was raucous behaviour on board including urinating into its plush atrium

The families of Harry Maguire and Jack Grealish led the exodus off HMS Wag,  MailOnline can reveal today, after life at sea soured due to drunk fans partying on board and even urinating on to one of the plush decks.

England families were deeply unimpressed with the atmosphere on the £1billion cruise ship, with insiders disclosing that they felt ‘isolated’ out at sea and disliked sharing a space with 6,000 other passengers.

After ten nights aboard, the football stars’ loved ones have abandoned ship and relocated to sumptuous villas with private pools on the mainland or five-star hotels near to stadiums in Doha.

MailOnline’s Agenda column reported how one raucous fellow resident urinated into the atrium from the fifth-storey, and celebrating fans returning late at night from matches had disturbed the families’ sleep.

There were also problems making calls to players. All of those who were on the ship from the England camp have now moved into hotels as planned, with the Maguires and Grealishes among the first to flag issues.

As well as the atmosphere turning sour, some WAGs needed to hire extra cabins to store their extensive wardrobes.

Dripping with opulence and hailed as a floating palace, it was dubbed HMS WAG for hosting footballers’ families during the World Cup.

But it seems the luxury cruise liner may not have been quite comfortable enough for the England squad’s pampered wives and girlfriends.

In a vote of confidence in the Three Lions, Harry Maguire’s family appear to have favoured a hotel a short distance from the Lusail Stadium – where the World Cup final will be held.

The Waldorf Astoria boasts of being ‘a luxury oasis in the Arabian Gulf’ with a private beach, a spa and eight restaurants.

It is also a handy ten-minute drive to the showpiece 89,000-seater stadium where the tournament’s winners will lift the trophy on December 18.

Yesterday the England WAGs were enjoying plusher new lodgings on shore after disembarking the £1billion MSC World Europa cruise ship docked in Doha’s harbour.

It has been described as the most amazing cruise ship ever built, with 33 restaurants and bars, beauty salons, boutiques, 14 ocean-view Jacuzzis and an incredible 11-storey indoor slide named The Venom Drop.

But it seems some WAGs may have grown weary of cruise ship life.

Kennedy Alexa, the model partner of midfielder James Maddison, shared images from a villa and a photo of them kissing by the sea with the caption: ‘Quality time with you.’

Paige also shared a photograph of a huge slide on Instagram, saying: ‘Me and Mel are in our element.’ The cruise ship the WAGs are staying on boasts the longest dry-slide at sea titled The Venom Drop (left). The WAGs are enjoying 26C heat in Qatar, while the UK shivers in winter (right)

A video by defender Conor Coady’s wife Amie, 29, showed off a spectacular marbled villa by a beach. The mother-of-three showed children enjoying the pool and dancing on a patio while staff provided refreshments which included a bottle in an ice bucket.

Others including Jack Grealish’s partner Sasha Attwood, 27, Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan, 26, Kyle Walker’s model wife Annie Kilner, 30, and Luke Shaw’s girlfriend Anouska Santos, 30, have also relocated to onshore accommodation.

Sharing the vessel with 6,000 other passengers and needing to hire extra cabins to store their extensive wardrobes, it seems some of them may have grown weary of cruise ship life.

In a video posted online, Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward’s partner Rebecca Naylor hinted at regret among the Welsh WAGs who stayed on the liner when she filmed a luxury hotel before zooming her camera out to the cruise ship across the water and writing pointedly: ‘When you should have done the 10 days here and not there’.

A Football Association source said it had always been planned for the WAGs to leave the ship after the group stage of the tournament.

Guests on the ship had been living the high life, thanks to onboard beauty salons, boutiques, dodgems, 14 ocean-view Jacuzzis and the longest dry-slide at sea titled The Venom Drop to keep them entertained between matches.

The swanky ship comes complete with its very own shopping mall, roller disco rink and a range of clubs for children.

Elsewhere on the cruise liner, a Sportplex zone offers basketball, bumper cars and even a roller disco rink, meaning plenty of opportunities for fun, alongside more than 30 bars and cafes, as well as a micro-brewery and mixology classes in its Elixir gin bar.

With a tonnage of 215,863 GT and length of 333.3 m (1,094 ft), its beam is 47 m (154 ft), height is 68 m (223 ft) and speed, 22.7 knots and a capacity of 6,762 passengers.

Covering 21 decks, there are 2,138 crew members, two five blade propellers and seven thrusters being four Bow and two stern.

Packages began at £6,000 for the footballers’ families to stay on the luxury liner.

In Qatar there are strict alcohol rules, but because the MSC World Europa is ‘off-shore’, those on board can sip on champagne without fear of legal repercussions.
