X Factor net worth: Who earns the MOST on the show?

The X Factor is so close we can almost touch it.

The ITV show is clearly a money-making machine – props to you, Simon Cowell – but have you ever stopped to wonder how much each star is worth?

One Direction net worth

1D achieved global superstardom after appearing on our small screens back in 2010. Put together by music mogul Simon himself, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik (who later quit the band in 2015) went on to become the most successful act to have ever launched out of the show (despite finishing in third place).

The band became the first in US Billboard 200 history to have their first four albums debut at number one, and their third album was the best-selling album worldwide in 2013.

Together they are expected to be worth around $150 million (which converts to roughly £117 million).

Louis Walsh net worth

The Irish music manager (who famously worked with the likes of Boyzone and Westlife) officially put his X Factor days behind him this year, announcing that he was “ready to leave” after 13 years on the show.

According to Shear‘s, he has a reported net worth of around £104 million.

Simon Cowell net worth

The brains behind the whole operation, Simon has many TV strings to his bow – including Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor US, America’s Got Talent and, of course, we can’t forget his initial judging spot on Pop Idol (ahh, those were the days).

After years of working for music labels, the business man launched a few of his own. His newest label, Syco, releases records from the talent shows that belong to its sister company, Syco TV (which produces the likes of X Factor, and BGT). Clever.

You’re probably thinking that he must have a pretty tidy sum in the bank. And you’d be right. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Mr. Cowell is valued at around $570 million. That translates to roughly £443 million. Gulp.

Cheryl net worth

The Geordie became an X Factor judge in 2008, mentoring two winners (Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry). She resigned in 2011 – which is when the whole US drama happened – before making a highly anticipated return to X Factor UK for series 11 and 12.

She will soon be making her TV comeback on the pro panel for BBC One’s The Greatest Dancer.

Combine all this with her days in Girls Aloud and multiple brand partnerships, and the former X Factor judge is said to be worth around £20 million, according to Spear’s.

Little Mix net worth

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall each auditioned as solo artists on The X Factor in 2011.

The judges put the girls together as Rhythmix, but the band changed its name to Little Mix a few weeks into the competition.

Following huge success after the show, it was widely reported back in 2015 that they’re estimated worth was around £3 million each (totalling £12 million as a band).

Robbie Williams net worth

A new addition to the X Factor family, the former Take That member has been pretty open about the fact that his signing was heavily swayed by the pay cheque.

With a colourful career that spans two decades, we’re not too surprised to hear that Robbie is, well, minted.

Thanks to his time in the ’90s pop band, his chart-topping solo career and his Let Me Entertain You world tour (to name a few things), Williams is estimated to be worth around £155million.

Sharon Osbourne net worth

Confirmed to have been given an extra special place on the new-look X Factor show (coming back to live shows as a fifth judge, but without a category to mentor) Sharon has become a part of the furniture.

The American reality star, married to Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne, became a hit on her family’s show The Osbournes. As well as judging the UK’s X Factor, she’s also enjoyed stints on America’s Got Talent along with her own chat show.

Sharon was ranked as the 25th richest woman in Britain in the Sunday Times Rich List back in 2009, and today she is estimated to be worth around £200 million (according to The Richest).

Dermot O’Leary

The ITV presenter is estimated to be worth around £12 million, according to knownetworth.com.

He began his presenting career on T4, and has also fronted Big Brother’s Little Brother, Soccer Aid and the NTAs.

The X Factor returns to ITV on September 1 at 8pm.
