X Factor fans very ‘scared’ as hopeful sings both male and female parts of song

X Factor fans were left feeling very confused tonight by one hopeful’s interesting performance.

Sephy Francisco, 27, managed to sing both the male and female parts of love song The Prayer.

The events singer, from the Phillipines, explained that the song choice was because "everything I do I’m guided by the Lord".

Her performance started off normally enough, but Sephy left the judges in disbelief by switching between a high and low-pitched voice.

It sounded like there were two people up on stage singing a duet – leading some viewers to question if the amazing performance was real.

"That’s a gear change," remarked stunned Dermot O’Leary as he watched from the sidelines.

Sephy got a standing ovation from the delirious crowd.

Shocked Ayda Field said: "Well that was a surprise."

While Simon adds: "I’ve never judged a duo who’s one person. This is incredible. I save money you make more money."

The hopeful got four big ‘yeses’ from the judges and looks like a firm favourite to win the whole show.

"Thank you so much, I’m so happy," said Sephy.

Simon is still talking about the performance when Sephy runs off stage to hug her delighted family.

Confused viewers took to Twitter after watching the performance.

One viewer said: "Surely this is a voice over on #XFactor? I’m well and truly scared… what is happening!?"

Another added: "F***ing hell,I was not expecting that at all….. "

A third said: " don’t know what just happened, but it was beautiful"
