X Factor bosses threaten to 'sack staff' if they have relationships with contestants

The X Factor bosses have reportedly threatened to sack staff that have relationships or socialise with the show’s contestants.

According to The Sun, the ITV show’s production team have been given a formal warning that close relationships are “strictly forbidden”.

A reported document apparently says that they must also not make any “social arrangements” with the contestants.

Digital Spy has reached out to The X Factor‘s producers Syco for comment.

In other X Factor news, this year’s competition is well under way, with the contestants and judges already reaching the Six Chair Challenge.

And behind the scenes, the panel have been bonding, with Louis Tomlinson and Robbie Williams proving their bromance by getting matching tattoos.

Yet Robbie managed to “botch” Louis’ one when the One Direction singer moved his arm, with Ayda Field joking: “It does look a bit shit.”

Meanwhile, Robbie recently opened up about his new child with Ayda, describing the newborn Coco as “the most chilled baby”.

“It’s funny,” he said. “The first baby you have, ‘Shh, it’s sleeping’, then you hear someone coming in that closes the door and you run downstairs and you go, ‘Shh! The baby!’

“Then the third one, the television’s on, the kids are playing, the dogs are barking, the baby stays asleep and the world doesn’t end. I wonder if the baby is so relaxed because we are relaxed.”

The X Factor continues this Saturday (September 29) on ITV.
