The X Factor 2018 is well under way.

With the brand new judging panel flourishing and auditions now over, here’s everything you need to know about series 15 ahead of the live shows…

1. X Factor 2018 live shows: When are they starting?

The X Factor’s live shows are due to commence on October 20 – so get those takeaways on speed dial.

If you want to get tickets, you can apply for them here.

2. X Factor 2018 Judges’ Houses: When are they?

Judges Houses’ will air on Sunday October 7.

This stage happens after live auditions and the dreaded Six Chair Challenge are over, with all three stages being pre-recorded way before the live shows start.

3. X Factor 2018 changes: Will there be any major reshuffles?

Short answer, yes.

X Factor bosses have made lots of changes this year.

There has, of course, been the introduction of a BGT-style ‘Golden X’ button. This has been used during the Six Chair Challenge, allowing each judge the power to send one act straight through to Judges’ Houses.

4. X Factor 2018 judges: Who’s in the hot seat(s)?

Offering a fresh look for 2018, Simon Cowell has been joined by Robbie Williams, Ayda Field and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson.

Sharon Osbourne, who was previously expected to return this year as an impartial fifth judge, has now quit the series.

Louis Walsh also confirmed last month that contrary to earlier reports, he was departing from the show after 13 years as judge, while Nicole Scherzinger also did not return.

5. X Factor 2018 presenters: Who is on the mic?

Dermot O’Leary is back, and will be hosting the live shows.

Well, it wouldn’t be the same without him.

6. X Factor 2018: Will there be guest judges?

Simon and his team have always splashed the cash on huge names to help pick the finalists at Judges’ Houses – and the star-studded line-up never fails to make front page news. So we can’t imagine this year will be any different.

It’s been confirmed that Robbie Williams has enlisted David Walliams to help him whittle down the Groups, but the remaining judges are keeping us guessing.

Of course, with Louis Tomlinson as a judge, One Direction fans are holding out for a mini reunion.

7. Who won X Factor 2017?

Come on, it hasn’t been that long has it? Rak-Su were last year’s winners – as if you really needed reminding!

Rak-Su J, Ashley, Pharoahcious and Myles were the clear favourites to be crowned champions from the moment they first auditioned. Since their win, the lads have had a Top Ten hit and are currently working on their debut album – with a little help from the legendary Wyclef Jean, so we hear.
