SEASON One of Channel 4's Screw has come to an end leaving fans wanting more.

Will there be another series of the comedic prison drama? Here's what we know.

Will there be another series of Screw?

According to Premieredate.news, Screw series two has officially received the green light from All 4.

Although a release date has not been provided, fans will be pleased to know the cast will return with for more episodes.

It is likely the second series will be released later this year or in 2023.

What happened in the first series of Screw?

The show is written by BAFTA-winning writer Rob Williams who also worked on BBC's Killing Eve.

The plot focuses on prison officers' experiences at the fictional men's prison Long Marsh and is filmed in Glasgow.

With C Wing in lockdown, the inmates' mental health began to deteriorate.

To resolve this Leigh, played by Nina Sosanya, decides to have the team prepare a mental health first-aid programme to relieve and engage the prisoners.
