Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger is a well-received television series created by Marvel and showing on Freeform.
The show centers around two teenagers – Cloak (Ty) and Dagger (Tandy) – who come from very different backgrounds but acquire superpowers while forming a romantic relationship.
These superpowers come from an explosion of energy that occurs when the Roxxon Gulf Platform collapses.
Tandy’s powers pertain to the light, while Ty’s pertain to the dark. Their powers work best together, which they eventually learn through trial and error. Together, the two must decide what kind of superheroes they will be, and how active they will be in the fight against wrongdoing.

When did Olivia Holt get her start?
Olivia Holt was just three years old when she first began singing and acting on stage. She landed starring roles in community theater productions in her youth, including the roles of Annie in Annie and Alice in Through the Looking Glass. She also did considerable work in television commercials, including some for Bratz Dolls, Hasbro, and Mattel.
Her first major role was in the indie film Black and Blue in 2009. The role which would prove to give Holt her big break, however, was as Kim Crawford in the Disney television series Kickin’ It. The show centers around a girl (Kim) who is a confident martial artist that has no problem going toe-to-toe with her male counterparts.

Before landing her new role on Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, Olivia appeared in a number of other films and television series. Holt made guest appearances in the television series Shake It Up, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Dog With A Blog.
She also had a recurring role in I Didn’t Do It as Lindy Watson. Holt’s talents are showcased in the films Girl vs. Monster, The Standoff, Class Rank, Gnome Alone, and Status Update.
Singing career
When she isn’t acting or modeling, Olivia Holt is pursuing a singing career. She released her debut full-length album in 2016, entitled Olivia. The album peaked in the nineteenth spot on the Billboard charts, and produced several singles including “Phoenix” and “History.”
In the years since her album’s release, Olivia Holt has been slowly releasing standalone singles. “Generous,” released in 2017, would prove to be her first number one hit when it topped the US dance charts. Holt has also featured on several movie soundtracks, including those for Shake It Up, Girl Vs. Monster, Toy Story 4, and Cloak & Dagger.

For her acting talents, Olivia Holt has been nominated for four awards and won another. Holt won fan favorite at the Napa Valley Film Festival and outstanding achievement in film making (acting) at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
She also won choice summer TV star at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards and best crush song at the Radio Disney Music Awards.
