Viewers were horrified by the scenes after believing Louis was close to escaping to get back with ex-wife Simone Loveday, but Breda is obsessed with ensuring he gets back with Leela Lomax and their son Daniel instead.
He first managed to escape from Breda after cutting his ties with a broken mug, only to be hunted down by the serial killer and taken back upstairs.
He was confused when Breda apologised and promised to let him go.
But when it came to it, she found the note with her killer confession on it hidden in his belongings and decided he had to die.
And now there appears to be someone who knows what she’s up to. But who is it and what do they know about Breda?

Who is the gloved hand in Hollyoaks?
We know that Hollyoaks has a bit of a history with gloved hands and murder. You could say they go hand in hand – gloved ones of course.
The latest gloved hand isn’t to be confused with the Gloved Hand Killer of course, who was unmasked as Lindsay Butterfield back in 2015.
The latest gloved hand was seen swiping the SIM card from dead Louis’ phone after Breda had burned his belongings.
Louis had tried to text Simone a warning text about Breda but it didn’t deliver. When Breda turned his phone on the message automatically sent. Fortunately for Breda she was able to intercept Simone’s phone and delete the message before she’d read it.
Does the gloved hand know Breda McQueen?
Actor Karl Cousins has suggested his character could come back from the dead though – could he be the mysterious gloved hand?
Talking to Digital Spy, Karl hinted: "Maybe Louis will come back from the dead?! Didn't Nico (Blake) burn to death in a hall of mirrors and come back? It's never over!"
Whoever swiped the SIM clearly has an idea about Breda’s murderous ways, so the question is, will they unmask her?
