Who is Stephen Graham? What's his background?

Born in Kirby, Liverpool-supporter Stephen began working in 1990 and quickly became a sought-after actor thanks to his aptitude for accents and watchable intensity.

After training at the National Youth Music Theatre, he bagged his first major telly roles in shows like Heartbeat, The Bill, Corrie and Where The Heart Is.

His big movie breakthrough came in 2000 with Guy Ritchie's Snatch, in which he played a gangster, a defining role, the kind of which he'd go on to take regularly.

Is he in Line of Duty?

Stephen Graham has been unveiled as the new lead in Line of Duty.

Back in September 2018 the show tweeted: "Welcome to the club! @StephenGraham73 #LineofDuty5."

This came after The Sun exclusively revealed in July that he would be replacing Thandie Newton as the chief investigator in the crime drama.

He'll be playing John Corbett or the mysterious Balaclava Man.

But you'll have to tune into the latest series to find out what John will be getting up to…

When is Line of Duty series five on BBC One?

The fifth season of Line Of Duty will premiere on BBC One on March 31, 2019.

Filming for the series began in Belfast in September 2018.

The next episode will air TONIGHT Easter Sunday, April 21 at 9pm on BBC One.

After series four concluded, the BBC announced Line Of Duty had been renewed for two more series – so we'll be getting a series six too.

BBC director-general Tony Hall said: "I am very excited to say there’s not one but two more series of Line Of Duty. So hooray for AC-12!"

When was he in Save Me about and who did he play?

Save Me first aired in February 2018 and followed the story of Nelly, whose world is turned upside down when he is arrested and accused of kidnapping the 13-year-old daughter he barely knew existed.

Jody’s mother, Claire, who shared a "summer of love" with Nelly 14 years ago, is convinced of his guilt.

As a result, Nelly heads on a mission to clear his name by finding the real abductor and save his daughter.

Stephen played the character Melon in the drama.

Who did Stephen play in Little Boy Blue?

Stephen played DSI Dave "Ned" Kelly in Little Boy Blue, the man who led the hunt for Rhys Jones' murderer.

It took 18 months for Kelly to complete his work on the murder case, when finally 18-year-old Sean Mercer – a member of the Croxteth Crew gang – was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Other gang members were also sentenced for assisting an offender.

Kelly's hunt for the killer involved the deployment of more than 300 officers and gun crime specialists and a large number of youths were arrested and released throughout the case.

Despite the fact that Mercer's name was written in graffiti and spread online, as well as his name being given by 12 people to Crimewatch, the police were still appealing for witnesses.

What have I seen Stephen in before and what is he in next?

Prolific performer Stephen has been in everything from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies to the This Is England series and Tom Hardy's Taboo.

He's also played many real-life characters, like Billy Bremner in The Damned United, and the notorious gangster Al Capone, who he portrayed brilliantly on HBO's Boardwalk Empire.

He was nominated for a British Independent Film Award for This Is England.

Fans also got to see Stephen in Walk Like A Panther, which was out in March 2018. He played Mark Bolton who, with his son Trevor "Bulldog" Bolton, fought to save the pub they own.
