Who is Jon Morrison? The Vera actor plays DC Kenny Lockhart in the ITV drama

JON Morrison has made a return to our screens as DC Kenny Lockhart in the new series of Vera.

Who is Jon Morrison?

Jon is a Scottish actor you might recognise from the numerous plays, films, and television series he has been in.

The Glasgow native started her TV career with the role Currie in Adam Smith back in 1973.

His following parts were in Sutherland's Law, The Nearly Man, and Play for Today.

Since his start in the industry, he's also been in some cult shows like Servants, Dream Team, and High Times.

He currently plays DC Kenny Lockhart in the ITV drama Vera.

What movies has he been in?

Jon made his big screen debut back in 1979 by playing Tam in That Summer!.

Following that, he was in The Final Option (1982), Slayground (1983), Nil by Mouth (1997), and Five Seconds to Spare (2000).

You may also recognize him from the more recent Sweet Sixteen (2002) that is adored my fans around the world.

The actor played the character Douglas in the film.

When can you watch Vera on ITV?

Vera series nine premiered on ITV on Sunday January 13 and continues TONIGHT (January 20) at 8 pm.

It will be going head-to-head with Les Miserables on BBC One and SAS: Who Dares Wins on Channel 4.

This year, the show is up for an NTA in the Drama category.

Like the previous series, there will be four episodes in total.
