90 Day Fiancé is one of TLC’s most popular franchises. The show has fans across the world, following the adventures and relationships of those seeking love abroad, or with people from abroad. And, it seems, even celebrities aren’t immune to its charms and drama. In fact, Chrissy Teigen herself is a huge fan of the show. And, of course, she has a favorite cast member.
A birthday wish for Chrissy Teigen
You know Chrissy Teigen loves some drama, so who else could she love but the infamous Darcey Silva? This 90 Day Fiancé alum is infamous for wearing her heart on her sleeve, and for crying at the drop of a hat. Some have called her clingy, others emotionally open. Say what you will, Silva doesn’t care — she says she’s on the hunt for love, and that’s that.
In fact, Teigen is such a fan of Darcey Silva that her friend Yashar Ali had Silva record a birthday message for Teigen. Ali tweeted, “Thirty-four years ago today a rascal was born! Happy birthday to my angel (& occasional devil) @chrissyteigen .You are an amazing friend to all six of us & there is no one else on this earth who could convince me to go to a theme park in a onesie. I love you sweet pea.”
He then added, “Because you are such a dork, I know there is nothing I could get you that would make you as happy as one of your favorite reality show stars wishing you a happy birthday. Thank you to the wonderful and sweet @DarceySilva for filming this! Happy Birthday @chrissyteigen!” Attached was Silva’s birthday message to Teigen.
Silva said, in part, “I just wanted to say happy birthday beautiful! You deserve the best b-day ever, you’re amazing! You’re a bright shining light like the one behind me, even stronger, better.”
“I just want you to know, how much you’re inspiring to this world, and your birthday is your special day, and I’m here to honor you and show you all my respect and love. You are a true soul and a true light,” added Silva.
Darcey Silva dishes on tears
Recently, Chrissy Teigen’s favorite cast member has been opening up about all her tears on 90 Day Fiancé. During an Access Hollywood interview, Silva got frank about crying so often.
“This season has been an emotional rollercoaster, and it’s been something that’s following me in that sense. … I love to love, and everyone knows I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I don’t ever regret taking any risks in life, and I’m happy to share my journey,” said Silva.
Silva also mentioned that if she could change one thing, it would be how much she did end up crying on the show. She went on to add, “Honestly, I probably would change the crying. But I do get emotional like everybody else. I think that makes me real and very relatable. But, you know, no shame in my game. If I cry a little bit it’s because I have a big heart and a lot of love to give.”
Of the fans, Silva said, “The fans are amazing, I’m getting a huge following. I do get a lot of hate but I ignore that. I don’t like the negativity.”
Making a return to the franchise
Heads up Chrissy Teigen, Darcey Sila isn’t finished with the 90 Day Fiancé franchise just yet. In fact, she’ll be appearing on an upcoming season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. And what’s more, she’ll be meeting up with Tom Brooks to discuss something important.
In a recently released trailer for the new season, we see Silva at a restaurant with Brooks. When he stands up and tries to hug her, she is not into it. “No, that’s okay. I don’t feel comfortable,” says Silva.
Silva tells producers, “I don’t trust Tom. I feel like he’s hiding something.”
When she and Brooks sit down, she asks Brooks, “Isn’t there something you have to tell me?” Sounds like there’s drama ahead.
