Emmerdale abuser Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) will soon be in hospital following a vicious attack.
Even though Maya is facing charges for her abuse of young Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), the teenager is still well and truly under her thumb, as we’ll see when he rushes to the hospital to visit her after her attack.
Meanwhile, with Jacob’s father David (Matthew Wolfenden) threatening to kill her in last night’s episode, we can’t help but wonder if he could be the one behind the violence against his scheming ex.
Jacob is his son after all, and David’s made no secret of his hatred for her after he found out what she’d done to his boy…
Who attacks Maya Stepney in Emmerdale?
Even though Maya is unpopular enough in Emmerdale that anyone could feasibly have done it, the identity of the mystery attacker has remained unknown.
Even though David threatened Maya’s life, David will confront Maya at the hospital, and the two will argue in front of a police officer – not the best way to go about proving his innocence!
However, even though the two are at loggerheads, Maya will admit that her attacker is a total stranger, and thus she’ll clear David’s name.
Needless to say however, the bad blood between them will remain, and David’s temper will flare up once again when he sees Jacob visiting Maya at the hospital.
When Jacob gets home, he drops a massive bombshell that serves to turn everyone against his father and, feeling alone, David resolves to take drastic action.
What he decides to do is about to change everything, and not for the better…
