Where is Stella Kidd on Chicago Fire?

CHICAGO Fire fans noticed one firefighter missing from multiple episodes prior to its holiday hiatus.

Stella Kidd – played by Miranda Rae Mayo – was in the first episode of the new season of Chicago Fire, but since then has been noticeably absent, and viewers want to know why.

Where is Stella Kidd on Chicago Fire?

It's been mentioned over the past few episodes that Stella has been off working on a Boston chapter of her Girls on Fire program.

Every now and then her name gets mentioned but it has never shown on the show her going off to work in Boston.

Stella is also engaged to Severide, and nothing was mentioned about them breaking up.

When will Stella Kidd be back on Chicago Fire?

Unlike Jesse Lee Spencer as Casey, Miranda Rae Mayo isn’t gone indefinitely from Chicago Fire.

It was revealed on January 5, 2022, that she will be returning to Firehouse 51 and she is "happy to be back."

"I'm so happy to be back. Honestly, that is like my second home," Mayo told TV Guide ahead of the show's return.

"It just feels so good to be back and in the swing of things. I'm so happy with what they're doing with Stella's storyline. When she comes back, she definitely has a lot of explaining to do because, like me, Stella also took a huge hiatus and so that leaves Kelly feeling insecure."

Mayo's absence this season originally worried viewers because of the speculation that many OG characters would be departing after season 10.
