The return of the famous Australian soap Neighbours has been highly anticipated by fans worldwide, with the debut episode coming to Amazon Freevee today.
With its interesting characters and engaging storylines, Neighbours has become a beloved staple of the television landscape since it first hit the small screen in 1986.
The controversial move to axe the soap left many fans severely disappointed, with its star-studded finale in July 2022 seemingly marking the end of an era.

Central to the plot of the first episode is a surprise wedding, which was teased in the trailer and led to fans speculating who the bride and groom might be.
It eventually became clear that the bride was Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) – with many fans picking up on dialogue hints that led them to believe that the groom was Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) after the pair reunited in the finale last year.

However, in true Neighbours style, a shocking twist revealed the groom to be none other than Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney).
Some other details seemed to hint that it wouldn’t be plain sailing for the newlyweds, though, and that the possibility of Paul and Terese reuniting wasn’t off the cards…
However, what is in store remains to be seen – and only time will tell.
