Have I Got News For You continues with its 56th series TONIGHT Friday, 19 October at 9pm on BBC One.

Bake Off: Extra Slice star Jo Brand will be guest hosting the episode and regular team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop will be there as always.

This week, they'll be joined by author Grace Dent and comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean.

Among some of the notable guest presenters over the years have been Boris Johnson, Jeremy Clarkson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Lorraine Kelly and Anne Robinson.

The series is a comedy quiz show that grills celebrity contestants on the week's headlines.

It was originally hosted by Angus Deaton, but since 2002 has used a different guest host each week after Deaton left the show.

It launched in 1990 with team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop, who are still the captains now.

Hislop is the only person to have appeared on every single episode of the show – he once battled through a show despite suffering from appendicitis and needed to rush hospital straight after.

The current series is the 55th in its history.

He is an English writer, actor, comedian, radio and television presenter.

Paul also appears as a panellist on Radio 4's Just a Minute.
