A familiar face, in the shape of Adam Barlow, is due to return to Corrie very soon.
After leaving the soap earlier this year, Adam (played by Sam Robertson) has been photographed filming scenes with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brein) at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester.
Adam’s got a new look and a sharp suit, and Sarah certainly seems to be digging it, as pictures show the two getting very up close and personal during filming.
With Adam apparently picking up where he left off with Sarah, here’s everything you need to know ahead of the character’s return to Corrie…
When and why did Adam Barlow leave Corrie?
The fact that Sam Robertson has been papped kissing Tina O’Brein as a part of filming their scenes outside of a hotel is particularly interesting, given that Tina’s character Sarah is the whole reason why Adam left Wetherfield in the first place.
Back in January, Adam tried his luck with Sarah, but the two were spotted by Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) which later led to an altercation where Adam punched him.
Adam offered to represent Seb at the court hearing for the twins to make up for the punch, but things go badly when Abi stood up in court and said the twins were better of with their foster family.
She also said that Seb had lied about having a full-time job, which led to him blaming Gary (Mikey North) as he was the person who sacked him.
He had initially used his information about Adam and Sarah’s fling to blackmail Sarah, but he eventually revealed the truth to her man Gary.
This led to Adam packing his bags to got travelling and get away from everything.
Now however, Sarah’s single, and free to mingle with Adam to her heart’s content.
When will Adam Barlow be back on Coronation Street?
We know for a fact that Sam Robertson is going to be back playing Adam Barlow, however we don’t yet know exactly when he’ll be making his on-screen return – we just know it will be sometime in the coming weeks.
