I got a bit teary during the pre-credits tease of this new local doco series, which is always a good sign. And as someone who fervently wishes the arts were as privileged as sport in Australian schools, I was always open to the message here. But I defy anyone not to be delighted, entertained and moved by the story of what happens when a bunch of suburban primary school kids – many of them severely disadvantaged – get the chance at a proper musical education.
