When is the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year 2018?

BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2018 will take place in Birmingham's Genting Arena.

For the first time ever, the nominees will be revealed live at the event on Sunday, December 16.

The show will start at 7pm on BBC One, concluding at 9pm.

BBC Sport's director Barbara Slater said: "It will ass another layer of excitement."

This is the 65th ceremony to date and will include special awards like Lifetime Achievement, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, The Helen Rollason award, and BBC Get Inspired Unsung Hero award.

Para-athlete Kare Adenegan, 17, has already been named as the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year 2018.

As always it will be televised on BBC, so you can enjoy the event from the comfort of your home.

Once the shortlisted nominees are revealed on the night of the ceremony (December 16), viewers will be able to vote for their favourites.
