What time is Driven: The Billy Monger Story on tonight?

Billy Monger's astonishing journey will be shown in a new documentary, Driven: The Billy Monger Story TONIGHT.

The one-hour special will be screened on BBC Two on Monday, November 19, at 9pm.

On April 16, 2017, he was involved in what was described as one of British motorsports most horrific crashes resulting in a double leg amputation.

A terrifying video shows the moment Billy smashed into a stationary vehicle at 120mph during the Formula 4 championship race in April 2017.

What is the BBC Two documentary about?

Defeating all odds, Billy walked part of the track where he crashed into another car on prosthetic legs just months later.

The film offers an amazing insight from the cockpit camera as his car ploughed into a stationary vehicle at Donington Park.

On March 31, 2018, Billy achieved a podium finish in the opening race of the British F3 championship at Oulton Park.

The documentary will also capture Billy's physical and mental recovery process, and his fight to be let back in a racing car and friendship with Lewis Hamilton.

Who is Billy Monger?

Billy, from Gatwick, is a 19-year-old Formula Three racing driver with the Surrey-based Carlin team.

He was heavily involved in kart racing from a young age and has competed all over the UK and the Channel Islands before he joined the F4 British Championship.

Since his move to the big leagues in 2016, he took three podiums and finished 12th in the championship.
