A night out in Emmerdale has torn Victoria Barton’s (Isabel Hodgins) life apart after she was raped after being left alone outside of the nightclub. At the moments, viewers have seen her as a shell of her cheerful self, with her refusing to leave the house or confide in anyone about her horrific ordeal.
But soon, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) will sense something is seriously amiss with her and will do everything she can to try and support a broken Victoria after what she went through.
As Victoria breaks down, she tells Moira what happened but will Victoria choose to report the rape to the police – and if not, can Moira persuade her otherwise?
Next week will feature a series of flashbacks to the dreadful night in questions and Victoria’s movements between leaving the nightclub and ending up where she is now will be revealed.
We can’t confirm the circumstances of the attack but can reveal that it is the start of a long term storyline for Victoria as she tries to overcome the trauma of what she has been put through.
The episodes will also focus on the disappearance of Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) and what really happened when she had her woodland showdown with Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi). It will also look at the aftermath of the stabbing as well as a mistake Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry made).
