Trump Lashes Out at ‘Wacky’ Omarosa After She Calls Him ‘Dangerous’ Puppet in Feisty ‘Today’ Interview

“Nasty to people and would constantly miss meetings and work,” POTUS tweets about former aide, who’s busy promoting book about her time in White House.

Right on cue, Donald Trump took to Twitter Monday morning to bash his former White House aide Omarosa, who appeared on NBC’s "Today" show earlier to declare the president a "dangerous" puppet.

"Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on ‘the Apprentice,’ now got fired for the last time," Trump tweeted. "She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard really bad things."

"Nasty to people and would constantly miss meetings and work," the president continued. "When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser and nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me — until she got fired!"

But Omarosa also came to "Today" show locked and loaded with more secretly recorded audio to fire off to the public. In a phone call with the president after she was fired by Chief of Staff John Kelly, Trump expressed regret that she’d gotten the boot and claimed he was completely unaware.

"Nobody even told me about it," he said. "God damn it! I don’t love you leaving at all."

Omarosa took her latest shot at Trump after her host, Savannah Guthrie, asked straight up if the president is "mentally competent."

"No, I don’t think he’s fit," she immediately answered. "And as we heard on the recording that you just played, he doesn’t even know what’s happening in his White House. [Chief of Staff] John Kelly is running this White House, and Donald Trump has no clue what’s going on. He’s being puppeted, and that’s very dangerous for this nation."

That was the juiciest bite about Trump, but the true marvel was the interview itself, as the Omarosa got testy with Guthrie on air for keeping her past the agreed upon time limit.

"You know that we have an interview right after this," Omarosa interrupted Guthrie. "And I know that you want to go with more time, but I will answer your last question. And you see the time is up."

"What time do you need to go?

"You know that it’s a seven-minute interview. Now we’re at 10."

When the interview got back on track, Guthrie asked about the title of the book, "Unhinged," that she’s been busy promoting since last week.

"Who does that refer to?" she asked, to which Omarosa said, "Donald J. Trump."

Although the book is very critical of Trump, accusing him of using the N-word and other racial slurs, even the president’s biggest haters are panning the book or her. One CNN regular, Frank Luntz, even said Omarosa cited him for a detail he calls "flat-out false."

"I’m in Omarosa’s book on page 149. She claims to have heard from someone who heard from me that I heard Trump use the N-word," Luntz tweeted last Friday. "Not only is this flat-out false (I’ve never heard such a thing), but Omarosa didn’t even make an effort to call or email me to verify. Very shoddy work."

While appearing on "Meet the Press" Sunday, Omarosa admitted, "I was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation."

"They continue to deceive this nation by how mentally declined [Trump] is, how difficult it is for him to process complex information, how he is not engaged in some of the most important decisions that impacts our country. I was complicit, and for that I regret."
