TRACY Beaker's feisty side is in full flow as she re-ignites her long-running spat with Justine Littlewood.
Dani Harmer's iconic kids TV character, based on the books by Jacqueline Wilson, is at the heart of a re-boot centred on a grown-up Tracy living on a council estate with kids of her own.
The Sun Online revealed last year how spin-off, My Mum Tracy Beaker, was in the pipeline.
Today a teaser clip released by the BBC shows Tracy left wide-eyed as she again comes face-to-face with her arch enemy.
The pair both ooze sophistication, with Justine in a black dress and Tracy in a sleek leather jacket as they reunite in the kitchen of Tracy's boyfriend, former football star Sean Godfrey.
Dani's character utters: "Justine," as Montanna Thompson's catty character replies: "Tracy Beaker. And Minnie Beaker – you look just like your mum."
Minnie, savvy to Justine's identity, quizzed: "Are you Justine Littlewood," to which the clearly chuffed character added: "You've told her about me."
Images also released by the broadcaster show Tracy in the midst of a rant with Justine at the cafe where she works.
She can be seen raging at her frenemy, who is wearing a bright red coat, as she stands in the venue packed with diners.
Another shot showed Justine's pillar-box coat covered in food – suggesting something had transpired with a cafe dish, and perhaps that Tracy found an outlet for her fury.
Actress and 2012 Strictly contestant Dani previously told The Sun: “I can’t wait to return again to the role of Tracy.
“I’m a fan myself and want to know what happens next and where this journey takes her. Being a mother, I know how much it changes you.
“So I’m looking forward to seeing how it has changed Tracy but still keeping her the same feisty, strong female lead that people know and love.”
From 2002 to 2012, Dani starred in five series of The Story of Tracy Beaker, as well as a feature-length film Tracy Beaker's Movie of Me, and three series of Tracy Beaker Returns.
The new role Dani will play has a personal touch, too, after she became a mum five years ago.
In June 2016, Dani and partner Simon Brough welcomed daughter Avarie-Belle Betsy Brough.
Previously, she has spoken out about the difficulties of being a mum and exclusively told The Sun: "You don’t realise when you have your first child how difficult trying to find child care is, it’s crazy, especially with a job like mine. It definitely takes an army."
