Tipping Point fans were left distracted as contestant Laura tried her luck on the ITV game show.

Host Ben Shephard welcomed four contestants to the famous television studio as they battled it out to win the highly sought after cash prizes.

Laura, Richie, Chris and Christine answered a series of questions to win turns on an arcade-style machine.

Dropping tokens down a choice of four chutes, they each hoped to knock piles of the counters off a moving shelve – the more they collected, the greater the prize fund.

Laura quickly made a lasting impression with viewers watching the ITV show at home.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Hello Laura" with a series of red heart emojis.

A second person posted: "Come on Laura! I'm rooting for you."

While a third social media user said: "Laura is lovely."

Another added: "Come on Laura."

"Yay Laura." a fourth viewer penned.

Laura appeared to sail through the first round with ease but she suffered a blow in the next section of the competition.

She only managed to answer one question correctly in the second round.

Laura's single correct answer meant she only had one counter to use in the machine.

However, she managed to boost her total to £1,300 and ended up heading through to the third head-to-head round with Richie.

The two contestants each answered tough general knowledge questions in a bid to make the final.

Laura came out on top and got the chance to play for a whooping £10,000.
