This Morning’s Rochelle Humes is nearly sick as she gags on a dead cricket sold in Sainsbury’s

The 29-year-old, who is stepping in for Holly Willoughby, and Phillip Schofield decided to try the bugs that are now available from Sainsbury’s as part of their very own bushtucker trial on today's show.

But while Phillip was happy to tuck in, Rochelle was disgusted by the taste and started to gag as she crunched away.

Looking thoroughly unimpressed she struggled to finish it, while Phil wound her up by saying it was meaty.

Sainsbury’s have started selling Eat Grub’s Smoky BBQ Crunchy Roasted Crickets, but according to Rochelle there was nothing BBQ about them.

The packets of crickets, which will retail at £1.50 each are described as “crunchy in texture with a rich smoky flavour” and “packed with protein”.

Rochelle has replaced on Holly on This Morning while she is in the jungle hosting I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Praising his usual co-star's I'm A Celeb debut, Phillip said: “She was so good. I was WhatsApping her over the weekend saying, ‘Are you alright?’ and [she said], ‘Yeah yeah I’m fine’… I left a bottle of champagne in her dressing room, so I think that obviously helped!

"And 11 million viewers tuned in last night, 51% audience share and the highest launch show figures in five years! The power of Holly Willoughby and This Morning eh?…”

Later on in the show, Rochelle and Phillip were in hysterics as they watched a clip of Holly screaming while Emily Atack on the first trial.

In scenes that will air this evening , the Inbetweeners actress has to stick her hand into a chamber full of vipers.

Holly looked horrified as Emily faced the snake and at one point covered her eyes with her cue cards.

She edged behind her pal Dec until it all got too much for her.

Holly was seen screaming and then running off set before circling back and rejoining Dec to watch the rest of the trial.

Phillip found the clip so funny he asked to watch it twice and declared that she was more scared that Emily.
