This Morning Josie Gibson's breaks down in tears during emotional phone call with viewer who suffered stillbirth

THIS Morning's Josie Gibson broke down in tears during an emotional phone call with a viewer who suffered a stillbirth.

Ellen called in to the daytime show today to speak to agony aunt Deidre Sanders about how much she is dreading Christmas following the tragedy.

She explained that she lost her little boy when she was 34 weeks pregnant, and started sobbing down the phone as she spoke to the stars.

While Deidre tried to offer solutions to Ellen about getting through Christmas with her partner, Phil and Josie gave comfort.

However, Ellen was too upset to respond and was audibly crying as Deidre said that she'd speak to her more off-air.

But it was all too much for Josie, who broke down in tears over Ellen and her partner's pain.

It came just moments after the star fought back tears during musical guest Gregory Porter's heartbreaking performance – which he dedicated to his late brother.

Josie has stepped in to cover for Holly Willoughby for a second day after she was taken ill with a tummy bug.

And she has been a huge hit with viewers at home – with many taking to Twitter to acknowledge her "compassion" during the phone-in.

One wrote: "I just love how real @Josiestweet is!!! Such a breath of fresh air."

Another added: "Josie is crying. Please please please hire her as host as she actually cares."

A third said: "@Josiestweet genuinely showing compassion, so hard to deal with."

Others were just as emotional over Ellen's story, with one writing: "Oh Ellen. My heart goes out to you. Lots of love to you."

A second echoed: "Ellen, my heart is breaking for her."
