The X Factor viewers heard Louis Tomlinson swearing on live TV

Somebody might be in trouble with the boss today, as X Factor judge Louis Tomlinson seems to have been caught swearing on live TV.

Last night’s show saw contestant Anthony Russell deliver a stirring performance of ‘Beyond The Sea’ by Bobby Darin and Louis was delighted with his mentee’s rendition – so much so that he might have let his excitement get the better of him.

“I’m so proud of you,” Louis said after Anthony’s performance. “I thought it was important that you sing this song tonight cause people see how long you’ve been fighting for this opportunity.

“You’re a fighter, you’re a real man, you’re working class and I love you to pieces.”

While host Dermot O’Leary started to congratulate Anthony on his feedback, Louis rushed onto the stage and hugged his act, and, although his mic was muffled, many viewers thought they heard Louis say: “I f**king love you, lad.”

Judge for yourself here:

Unfortunately for Louis, the moment wasn’t missed by keen-eyed (and keen-eared) viewers, who documented it online:

Louis wasn’t the only one praising Anthony last night either, as Simon Cowell also shared that he thinks the public have really warmed to Anthony, and he could go all the way to the final.

We’ll find out if Cowell’s hunches prove right when The X Factor continues with its results show tonight (November 18) at 8pm on ITV.
