Kicking off the night is a live performance from Carly Pearce, who takes home the award of CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, as she belts out her hit single ’29’.
AceShowbiz -The results from season 21 Semi-Finals performances of “The Voice” were revealed in the Tuesday, December 7 episode. At the end of the episode, three singers were eliminated while the other five advanced to the Finals.
Kicking off the night was a live performance from Carly Pearce, who won CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, as she belted out her hit single “29”. Later, host Carson Daly called the Top 8 to the stage to reveal the first finalist and that was Team Blake Shelton‘s Wendy Moten.
Before more results were announced, coach John Legend took the stage to put everyone in holiday spirits as he performed “You Deserve It All”. Following it up, Carsol revealed two more artists saved by America’s vote. The two contestants were Girl Named Tom from Team Kelly Clarkson and Paris Winningham from Team Blake. That made Girl Named Tom became the first trio to ever advance to a finale on the long-running show.
Blake then hit the stage to sing latest single “Come Back as a Country Boy”. Then, Hailey Mia from Team Kelly was named as the last contestant who was saved by America’s vote. That meant Lana Scott (Team Blake), Joshua Vacanti (Team John), Jim & Sasha Allen (Team Ariana) and Jershika Maple (Team John) took the stage once again for Instant Save.
The first performer was Lana, who opted to sing “Things a Man Oughta Know”. Kelly said that she loved Lana’s country sound, while Blake claimed that Lana perfectly showed off her storytelling and personality.
Next up was Joshua who belted out “My Heart Will Go On”. He convinced Kelly that he has a promising career regardless of the results. As for John, Joshua’s coach gushed over him, telling him that he has a “God-given gift.”
Later, Jim & Sasha took the stage to sing “Rich Girl”. Kelly loved their chemistry and their partnership that “works so well.” Ariana, meanwhile, called “amazing and irreplaceable.” Rounding out the night was Jershika, who sang “Break Every Chain”. She earned a standing ovation from the four coaches as John called her one of the best vocalists he’s ever worked with on the show.
There was only one winner of Instant Save. The fifth and final singer to compete in the Finals was Jershika Maple. Unfortunately, Lana Scott, Jim & Sasha Allen and Joshua Vacanti were eliminated.
