'The View' Calls Trump's Tweets About Kavanaugh Accuser 'Tone Deaf,' 'Nasty' and 'Unbelievable'

After POTUS questions Kavanaugh’s sexual assault accuser, the women of “The View” unload.

Nobody on "The View" had any patience with Donald Trump’s tweets this morning, after POTUS turned to Twitter to question the validity of Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh’s sexual assault accuser.

Christine Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of assaulting her when they were in high school, something he denies.

"I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents," tweeted Trump on Monday. "I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!"

"The radical left lawyers want the FBI to get involved NOW," he continued. "Why didn’t someone call the FBI 36 years ago?"

The hashtag #WhyIDidntReport quickly took over Twitter, as the women of "The View" also answered that question for him.

"He has enough accusers to know why people didn’t come forward, he’s heard it enough, we’ve heard this enough," Whoopi Goldberg explained. "Women don’t want to come forward because of exactly what’s happening."

Sunny Hostin added that "rape and attempted rape are the least reported crimes in our country and that is because women fear they will not be believed, they fear they will be blamed, they feel ashamed." She added that many fear being "re-traumatized" by reporting or going to court.

"For the president of the United States to tweet something like that, it’s unbelievable," said Hostin.

While Abby Huntsman said she thought Trump had been surprisingly controlled in his response to the story, that all changed this morning. "I can only imagine how frustrated Republican lawmakers are about this, because this turned the tide," she said, "I think this really changes the narrative, this tweet is a really big deal."

Goldberg went on to call the tweets "nasty," as Hostin said the response was "so tone deaf."

"I think what’s particularly tone deaf, from this president, is the fact that Dr. Ford has had to move out of her home because of these threats," Sunny continued. "So the suggestion somehow, why didn’t she come forward … because of what’s happening right now, that’s why!"

Goldberg said it’s just as important for women to come forward as it is to give them support when they do.

"They need to have the support that they need to say this is what happened, so we can do what we’re supposed to do, which is then put the person on trial and find out what’s going on," she said. "And then you put them away or you say, we couldn’t find what was happening."

Addressing Trump, she added, "When you do this, when you resort to name calling — which is his baileywick, he loves to call people names — that doesn’t help this BS view that you keep trying to pass, that you’re so fond of women. You’re not fond of women!"

"To be this dense in 2018, after everything that’s happened, is kind of freaky to me," she added.

In an additional tweet defending Kavanaugh, Trump went on to call him "a fine man, with an impeccable reputation, who is under assault by radical left wing politicians who don’t want to know the answers."

"They just want to destroy and delay," he added. "Facts don’t matter. I go through this with them every single day in D.C."
