The Talk alum Marie Osmond celebrates 61st birthday with $3K earrings from husband after she was 'fired' from show

MARIE Osmond has celebrated her 61st birthday with an extravagant gift from husband Steve Craig.

The singer and former talk show host received a stunning pair of double drop Ethiopian opal and tanzanite earrings, which retails for $2,650.00.

"Thank you so much @loriannjewelry for making these beautiful earrings for me!" shared Marie.

"Such a wonderful birthday gift from my sweetheart!!"

The earringsare a one-of-a-kind piece that "feature a fiery, exclusively cut Ethiopian Opal layered with pear-shaped Tanzanite, perfect for all seasons."

Designer Loriann Jewellery reveals on her website that "due to the nature of organic gemstones, each one-of-a-kind piece will vary slightly and may not be as exactly depicted in the photographs."

The Sun revealed in September that Marie was fired from The Talk after just one year as co-host on the daytime series.

The panelist was given the news by executives and program bosse but sources admitted she was “not surprised” as she felt like an “outsider” at the table.

The Sun revealed that entertainment legend’s opinions were “viewed as different because she had conservative views and often maintained a strong stance on many subjects.”

Due to the differing stances, the source revealed Marie “suspected” her contract would not be renewed after this season.

The informant said: “Marie is leaving the show and not coming back for series 11.

"It has sent shockwaves among some of the staff, but Marie was not as surprised.

“The dynamics between the women were often strained and Marie appeared to be on one side of the argument, while everyone else was on the other.”

The source continued: ”Certainly she was unhappy at being portrayed as 'Miss Goody Two Shoes' just because she was a clean living, conservative woman, who had certain religious beliefs."

Marie – who is the younger sister of TV and music icon Donny Osmond – plans on speaking “more openly about her experience once the dust settles,” the source concluded.

Marie’s co-hosts Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, and Carrie Ann Inaba remained as the current season panelists, and on their return to TV in late September paid tribute to her leaving the show.

Carrie Ann told the audience at home: “We are truly, truly just so happy to be back in-studio. As you can see, though, Marie is not here.

“After being part of The Talk last season, Marie has moved on and is focusing on a number of personal and professional projects of her own.”
