24: Legacy alumna Coral Peña is set for a recurring role opposite Morris Chestnut and Jennifer Carpenter in NBC’s The Enemy Within, from Gotham executive producer Ken Woodruff, Vernon Sanders and Universal TV. Written and executive produced by Woodruff and directed by Mark Pellington, The Enemy Within is a fast-paced thriller set in the world of counterintelligence. Peña will play Anna Cruz, an ambitious CIA analyst enlisted by FBI Special Agent, Will Keaton (Chestnut) to assist in the hunt for a former Russian SVR agent turned rogue operative who’s responsible for the deaths of her fellow CIA officers. Cruz’s arrival tests the limits of the unprecedented partnership between Keaton and former CIA Deputy Director turned traitor, Erica Shepherd (Carpenter). Peña was a series regular on Fox’s 24: Legacy opposite Corey Hawkins and Miranda Otto and appeared recently in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated film The Post. She’s repped by Innovative Artists. The Enemy Within is set for a midseason debut on NBC.
Tony-nominated Hailey Kilgore has booked a recurring role on NBC’s The Village. Written/executive produced by Mike Daniels (Sons of Anarchy), The Village is a sprawling ensemble drama. Despite differences in age, race, culture and lifestyle, the residents of a Manhattan apartment building find that the more their lives intertwine, the more complex and compelling their connections become, thus proving life’s challenges are better faced alongside family, even if it’s the one you make wherever you find it. Details of Kilgore’s role are being kept under wraps. Kilgore received a Tony nomination for her lead role in Broadway’s Once On This Island.
