The Chase contestant makes offensive guess at Angelina Jolie’s age
Bradley Walsh welcomed contestants Cindy, Peter, Mat and Alice onto Monday’s The Chase as they tried to win as much money as possible.
However, some of the players began to crack when faced with mastermind Jenny Ryan.
The first person to take on The Vixen was Cindy, who impressively answered nine questions correctly in the cash builder round.
However, things took a turn when she was pitted against Jenny and she was sent home.
Peter was up next, and after answering four questions right, he was sent through to the final with £4,000 in the bank.
Matt quickly followed, although he was caught out by The Chaser after two questions.
Alice was the last person to try her luck, and she also made it through to the final after winning £5,000.
This meant Peter and Alice had to answer as many questions as possible within two minutes in order to win against Jenny.
However, attention quickly turned to Alice when she answered a question about Angelina Jolie incorrectly.

The contestant believed the actress was born in the 1950s, not the 1970s, which quickly sparked the attention of viewers.
Many took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the slip-up, with one branding it “embarrassing”.
@mrsgaius questioned: “#thechase Angelina Jolie 1950s?” (sic)
@SenorApple2014 commented: “Either Angelina Jolie looks FANTASTIC for her late 60s, or she’s not really in her late 60s. I’ll say the latter. #TheChase.” (sic)
@Peekylad joked: “I hope Angelina Jolie isn’t watching #thechase. Born in the ’50s.” (sic)
While @Kristian7Ross added: “Angelina Jolie was apparently born in the 1950s. There’s no coming back from the embarrassment of that.”
“Alice thinks that Angelina Jolie is in her mid-60s to early 70s. #TheChase,” @MissLionHeart said in disbelief.
@josh_earl3 went on to add: “Angelina Jolie born in the 50s, crying at that #TheChase.”
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
