The Chase: ‘Having a LAUGH’ Bradley Walsh mocks The Beast for unexpected admission

Mark Labbett, also known as The Beast, has made his name on the The Chase for being the largest chaser on the ITV programme.

Today during a round against 56-year-old contestant Cath, who is a legal secretary from Wigan, he revealed he’d done an interview for a health magazine.

The question was which magazine – out of Esquire, GQ and This is Life – isn’t a men’s magazine, and Cath proceeded to answer correctly with the third option.

As soon as the answer was revealed Mark chimed in: “I’ve done an interview with Men’s Health but never Esquire.”

“You’ve done an interview with Men’s Health?” a flabbergasted Bradley, 58, asked.

Teasing the chaser for doing the interview given his body size, Bradley joked: “What were you a page, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 big guy?

“You’re having a laugh aren’t ya?” the presenter continued to giggle, shaking his head at the prospect.

At the start of every episode comedian Bradley introduces each chaser with a gentle jibe about their appearance and titles on the show.

Mark is used to jokes about his weight and size on the programme, so he simply laughed along when Bradley couldn’t resist taking yet another pot shot at his friend and longtime colleague.

Also during today’s programme, Cath ordered the chaser to stop “chasing” her, as she feared he would knock her out of the competition.

“Stop chasing me,” Cath begged, but Mark kept a straight face.

“It’s my job,” he said simply.

“Stop chasing her,” Bradley then teased with a smirk. “What’s the matter with you?”

Today’s team also consisted of scientist Kieran, tram conductor Emma, and retired mathematician Brian.

All four players managed to beat the chaser and went straight through to the final with £18,000 to play for.

Unfortunately, despite managing to answer four pushback correctly, Mark was simply too good today.

In a nail-biting final chase, The Beast used all his might and defeated the team with only two seconds to go.

Asked how he felt about the game by Bradley, Mark shared: “I said they were two light, I was nearly one light there.

“Pheeeeew!” he said in relief.

The Chase continues tomorrow at 5pm on ITV.
