The Chaser, AKA Mark Lambett, didn't push his button in time when asked who has played Ben Mitchell in the hit BBC soap.
When he failed to give an answer, host Bradley Walsh said: "Oooh The Chaser is out of time!"
The Beast then grumpily replied: "That's never happened… ever!"
With Bradley saying, "First time for everything" before revealing that contestant Brian had got the question right.
Fans immediately took to Twitter with one saying: "Huh. Never seen that happen before. #TheChase"
While this one said: "The beast forgot to answer a question #TheChase!"
Another couldn't believe it: "Wow the beast ran out of time lol #thechase"
This fan was astounded: "Never seen a chaser out of time before #thechase"
Over the years The Beast has been known to get a question wrong – but has NEVER failed to actually give an answer.
The Beast took on his role on the show in 2009, and proved such a hit, he's now starred as the sole chase on the US version.
He is also one of five Chasers on the Australian version.
He has also appeared in several television quiz shows and is a regular in quizzing competitions.
