The Chase fans convinced Bradley Walsh has sneaky way of helping Chaser catch teams in final

Viewers believe the host reads out questions "twice as fast" for the pro quizzers as the contestants in what they suggest is a way of secretly ensuring the popular ITV quiz show doesn't have to shell out prize money.

Tonight's episode saw Bill, Laura, Emma and Gabriel all face Chaser Mark Labbett in the final.

The team mates had to quickly answers questions against the clock read out by host Bradley – and so did the quiz expert.

Mark was then able to catch them up in a tense finish to this evening's show.

Consequently, the four contestants – who had £23,000 in the pot – left empty handed.

Viewers have taken to Twitter to suggest that Bradley isn't entirely fair with the speed at which he reads questions out during the crucial point in the programme.

One wrote: "Acts the nice guy but @BradleyWalsh gets away with reading the questions at least 50% faster for the chaser #TheChase"

Another commented: "If @BradleyWalsh read the questions to the contestants as fast as he does to the chaser, maybe more teams would win #TheChase"

A third shared: "#thechase Bradley read those questions so fast for the chaser that u almost couldn't hear them!..and he didn't give the team enough time to answer the pushbacks..come on Brad, consistency please!!"

It comes a day after The Chase viewers refuse to forgive retired vicar Les for taking the minus £3,000 offer despite him going on to help team win £12,000.

Fans were left outraged when the former church minister decided to take the safe option during yesterday's episode of the popular ITV quiz show – and even chaser Paul Sinha couldn't help but call him a "coward".

When it was Les' go to face Paul, he told host Bradley Walsh he wanted to take the minus £3,000 offer, even though remaining contestants Lynette and Jascha encouraged him to take the plus £3,000 offer to add to the £15,000 already in the pot.

Being three steps closer to home, he unsurprising made it through to the final – but the potential prize winnings were reduced to £12,000.

However, the ex-vicar made up for it by helping his team beat the chaser in the final, meaning they each took home £4,000.

But though he somewhat redeemed himself, Paul still signed off with: "I still think you're a coward Les."

Those watching at home took to Twitter to share their anger that Les had taken the minus offer, and praised Paul for vocalising his annoyance.
