The Bachelor’s Caelynn Miller-Keyes Says She’s 'Not Fully Over' Colton Underwood

It’s been a few months since The Bachelor’s Colton Underwood sent frontrunner Caelynn Miller-Keyes home, but the former beauty queen is still coming to terms with their split.

“I’m not fully over it,” Miller-Keyes tells PEOPLE. “I’m still processing the heartbreak.”

The 24-year-old bonded quickly with former football player Underwood; one of the most memorable moments from the season came when Miller-Keyes opened up about being sexually assaulted in college.

“I felt comfortable with Colton, so I knew I could share that with him,” she says. Since the show, “so many people have reached out to share their stories. It’s been amazing.”

But despite the positive reaction she received from sharing her story, Miller-Keyes says she felt “very lonely” watching the show as it aired on television.

Still, “I’m happy that Colton didn’t take me to the fantasy suites if he knew then and there that he didn’t love me,” she says.

For his part, Underwood says, “It was nothing about Caelynn or her family, it was more about where my relationships were with the other women. I don’t like hurting people. To know that I hurt her was devastating for me. That was the hardest rose ceremony I’ve had throughout all of this.”

Now, Miller-Keyes hopes to move on — eventually.

“I want to find my person,” she says. “I think my heart has some healing to do but I am hopeful and almost ready.”

As for Underwood, there are no hard feelings on Miller-Keyes’ part. “I wish Colton nothing but happiness,” she says. “He’s such a great guy and I want him to find his person.”

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
