'The Bachelorette': The Shocking Truth About The Fantasy Suites

Season 15 of The Bachelorette is well underway and we couldn’t be more hooked. Hannah Brown, fondly known Hannah Beast, has been nothing short of spectacularly entertaining. Brown is funny, sweet, adorable, feisty, and downright weird. What more could we ask for from a bachelorette? And though we’re stoked to tune into the drama that the Men Tell All episode will undoubtedly produce, let’s not forget the drama that occurred last week regarding the fantasy suites. Independently of Brown getting slut-shamed by the 5’8 villain, Luke Parker, there’s a shocking truth about the fantasy suites that we never knew.

What are fantasy suites

But before we dig into the drama, let’s talk about what fantasy suites even are and why they are so important within the Bachelor/Bachelorette Franchise. Fantasy suite dates are offered to the lead when they are down to their final three contestants. However, this season Brown made history when she kept all four of her potential suitors. Strictly speaking, these are overnight dates that typically take place in an exotic location. In the past, they’ve happened taken place in posh hotels, tents, and of course, windmills.

Why are they so important

Okay, but what makes fantasy suites such a big deal? Well, the first reason is because of the gift of time. If the bachelorette or bachelor choose to “forgo their individual room” in favor of a fantasy suite, this is the longest amount of uninterrupted time they have with their potential partner throughout the entire season. Wild, we know.

But the other reason these sleepovers are so coveted is that, in the past, they have been referred to as the this is the first (and only) alone time the couple has throughout the entire season. This is the only time when the cameras come off and the bachelorette or bachelor gets a taste of what life as a couple will be like in the real world. Because of these reasons, many couples use the fantasy suites to get physical and take their relationships to the next level. That said, as we’ve seen from Brown’s relationship with Tyler Cameron, that’s not always the case.

The shocking truth

But despite what a couple chooses to do (or not do), the main draw of these special dates is the alone time that they have together. Or, so we thought. Former bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, recently revealed that the “alone time” isn’t always completely alone. Lindsay recently went on the bachelor recap podcast, Here To Make Friends, and revealed this shocking piece of tea. “A little insider thing” Linsday started off. “When you stay in your fantasy suite, there’s always a producer that stays with you. And I’m like, where was the producer in that windmill,” the former bachelorette said as she spoke about last week’s episode.

Producers are always around

Naturally, Lindsay left the two hosts of the podcast completely shook with her insider info. They began exclaiming that they believed the whole purpose of these dates were so the couple could have alone time. Lindsay continued on to say that you’re alone in a way, but not entirely. “If you’re in a hotel they’re like two doors down. But, if you’re in a house they’re downstairs and you’re upstairs. They’re always around,” the attorney confessed.

Men tell all

Honestly, we feel like our whole lives have been a lie. Luckily, we have Men Tell All tonight to help digest this new info. We can’t wait to see Hannah Beast back in the presence of all her exes. And, if she happens to drag Luke P again, well that’ll just be the icing on the cake.
