The Apprentice’s Amy Anzel dubs Lord Sugar ‘harsh and nasty:’ It was an unfair firing’

Tonight's episode of The Apprentice saw beauty brand owner Amy Anzel fired from the BBC One show after she failed to impress Lord Sugar in the latest task.

Lord Sugar accused Amy of "dodging" the project management side of things and failing to show him her potential. However, when OK! caught up with Amy during a press conference, she revealed that she felt the decision was "unfair and unjust."

The 48 year old explained: "I was gutted I was so sad and disappointed."

She continued: "I'd been contributing significantly to every single task. I was not dodging, I was not hiding. So I just felt that it was a very unfair, unjustified firing and I haven't seen anyone been fired for that reason before."

Amy added: "I've seen him say to candidates before that he'll give them another chance and the opportunity to be PM next week. He did that with Nick, why didn't he do that with me?"

She revealed that she thought it was going to be her colleague Aaron who got the boot.

Amy continued: "I feel like he'd already showed his true colours as a bit of a ticking time bomb. He'd swoop in on people's sales and that's just not, in my opinion, a great trait for a business partner. I was really shocked when it was me.

"I'd like him to tell me how I was avoiding the spotlight. I was sub team leader four out of six tasks. I don't think that's hiding. It's sort of like being Vice President. It's a big role."

She concluded: "I think it's a kind of BS reason and perhaps a slightly made up reason to get me out because maybe he just didn't see me as a business partner."

Amy also revealed what she thinks of Lord Sugar's social media presence.

"He's a bit too outspoken in my opinion," she said. "Sometimes he's a bit harsh or nasty. I personally wouldn't be like that."

When quizzed on what she thought was next in the pipeline for her, Amy revealed that life after the show was all about "scaling up and expanding" her beauty business Hollywood Browzer Beauty which she feel's she's "accomplished."

She said: "Now I get to keep 100% of my company. I don't have to give away 50% for £250K which, by the way, isn't an amazing deal so maybe it was for the best."
