YOU may be stuck at home because of the coronavirus outbreak, but Amazon Prime Video has come to the rescue with scintillating series that are sure to fill the boredom that comes with self-isolation.
Here's our round up of the most binge-worthy shows on the streaming service to get you through quarantine.
1. The Man in the High Castle
Set in a parallel universe depicting a world where Nazi Germany and Japan won WWII, this dystopian drama shows an alternate version of life in the US during the 1960s.
Nazi Germany has claimed East America, naming it the Greater Nazi Reich and making New York its capital
Meanwhile Japan has taken over the West Coast, rebranding them the Pacific States with San Francisco as its capital.
With brutal betrayals, high-octane action and a decidedly sci-fi twist, this series is full of intrigue.
The series came to an end in 2019 with its fouth and final season.

4. Carnival Row
A serial killer is loose on Carnival Row and the government continually turns a blind eye to the deaths of the lower class citizens.

A hard investigator – Ryancroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom) is the only person who is willing to stop the murders and maintain a semblance of peace.
However, he is caught off guard when a refugee called Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevigne) forces him to reckon with a past he desperately wants to forget.
Carnival Row is expected to return for season 2 in 2021.

6. Good Omens
Micheal Sheen and David Tennant's chemistry works wonders in adaptation that stays faithful to the book of the same name.

They've grown to love their lives on Earth representing heaven and hell respectively, however they have to prevent the coming of the Antichrist and with it the end of the world in the final battle on Earth.

A caseworker by the name of Heidi (Julia Roberts) delves into her past at the Homecoming Transitional Support Centre, an organisation that helps soldiers transition back into civilian life.
There she meets Walter Cruz (Stephen James), whose eager to begin the next phase of his life after a traumatic stint in the military.
The overseer of the centre, Colin Belfast (Bobby Cannavale), has dubious motives, prompting Heidi to leave and start a new life.
Four years later she is struggling to fight the demons of her past and a trip down memory lane gives way to a killer twist.
There are two seasons of Homecoming available now, but whether or not there will be a third or not remains unconfirmed.

They refer to the person they’re investigating as an ‘Unsub’ which is an unknown subject.

16. The Wilds
A group of teenage girls are on an aeroplane when it crashes into the ocean while en route to Hawaii for the Dawn of Eve program, a young women's empowerment retreat.
They survive the crash but now they are all stranded on a deserted island, which forces them work together and survive as castaways and learn secrets from each other.
However, they are unaware that the plane crash was orchestrated by the head of Dawn of Eve program in Hawaii and are subjects of a social experiment.
The Wilds was renewed for season 2 shortly after it was released late in 2020.

19. Alex Rider
Alex Rider is an eight episode thriller based on Point Blanc, the second book in the long-running series of spy novels by Anthony Horowitz.
The story begins with Alex being recruited by MI6 to investigate the mysterious death of his uncle, going undercover at a remote boarding school that claims to straighten out rebellious children of the super rich.
Alex Rider will return for a second season later this year.

An American action thriller series starring Jennifer Garner as CIA double agent Sydney Bristow.

The TV series is based off of Tom Clancy's ''Ryanverse'', which is a fictional web television series.

Dystopian drama about the 100 remaining people who are sent to earth after its destruction.
Juvenile prisoners from a space station are exiled after the planet is destroyed by a nuclear war.

Forty-eight passengers onboard a passenger jet are the only ones to survive when the plane crash lands on an island.
The island in question is scary in it’s own way and the trauma that all the passengers have to face doesn't help either.
The 45 have to put up with each other, predators and many more obstacles so it begs the question of what the future holds for them.
Lost came to a controversial end with season 6 back in 2010.

If there's a Big Little Lies hole in your life, then gripping mystery Little Fires Everywhere will definitely keep you happy.
Also starring Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon in another mystery drama about a seemingly perfect suburban family, the critically acclaimed drama also stars Kerry Washington.
Based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Celeste Ng, Little Fires Everywhere tells the story of "the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster."

Dating is hard and dating is awkward, especially if you've just moved in with your newly divorced sister and teenage daughter who is also entering the dating pool for the first time.

Each one seems to have only casual relationships (hence the show's title): Valerie because she's newly divorced and trying to have fun; Alex because he's sort of a stereotypical bachelor who has yet to really grow up; and Laura, because she's a teenager.

Panic strikes him after Mr Robot (Christian Slater), a cryptic anarchist, recruits him all debt records by encrypting the financial data of E Corp, the largest conglomerate in the world.

All of the clones are part of an illegal human cloning experiment at the Dyad Institute.
Sarah and her biological twin, Helena, seek to kill all of the clones. But someone is out to kill her too.

Their latest special episode hit the streaming platform in December 2020 called The Grand Tour: A Massive Hut, where they take on the difficult terrain of Madagascar.

After Holland tragically dies, Abby discovers the mysteries of the swamp and that Holland may not be dead after all when a mysterious creature claims to be him.

All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur is a sports documentary series focusing on the 2019–20 season of the London football club Tottenham Hotspur.
It chronicles a difficult season for the club, beginning with the sacking of the Mauricio Pochettino as manager who was replaced by José Mourinho, and the attempt by Mourinho to guide the team in an ultimately unfulfilling season interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

97. Downton Abbey
What is there to say about the smash hit period drama that you don't know already?
But in case you have been living on Mars since 2010, Downton Abbey follows the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family on a fictional Yorkshire country estate.
The drama – written by Julian Fellowes – also tracks the lives of the family's servants, and the upstairs/downstairs nature of the show is one of its best features.

If you think your family has its problems, Bates Motel will make you feel much better with murder, lies and even incest.
With five seasons to devour, it's perfect for a binge watch.
The series recently moved to BBC iPlayer too – so as long as you've got a TV liscense you can stream to your heart's content.
99. Halt and Catch Fire
This drama series is based on a fictionalised version of the personal computer boom of the 1980s.
While that might not sound like the most riveting description of a drama, actor Lee Pace manipulative businessman Joe MacMillan who tries to capitalise on the phenomenon for his own gain.
The series also co-stars Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy and while it might not be as well known as some of its counterparts, it is a hidden gem with four seasons to enjoy.
100. The Night Manager
The Night Manager was a huge success for the BBC back in 2016, thanks in no small part to Tom Hiddleston.
The actor won a legion of fans for his role as Jonathan Pine, who takes on notorious arms dealer Richard Roper, played with relish by Hugh Laurie.
The series is adapted from John le Carre's novel and features stunning locations, gripping action and suspense, as well as a number of racy sex scenes.
