64. Mission Impossible – Fallout
There aren't many action franchises that come bigger than the Mission Impossible series, and its 2018 outing maintained the thrills and incredible stunts of its five predecessors.
Tom Cruise returns once more as Ethan Hunt, this time attempting to secure some stolen plutonium cores.
However things don't go to plan and the cores end up in the hands of a terrorist organisation leading Ethan and his team to hunt its leaders down.
However, CIA Director Erica Sloane (Angela Bassett) is not impressed with Ethan and send assassin August Walker (Henry Cavill) to kill him.

65. The Lost City of Z
This 2017 film stars Charlie Hunnam as British explorer Percy Fawcett, and tells the true story of his journey through the Amazon at the start of the 20th Century.
Based on the 2009 book of the same name, Percy discovers evidence of a previously unknown and advanced civilization that once existed in the region.
Despite being ridiculed by his peers back home, Percy returns to the Amazon to find the Lost City of Z sparking quite the adventure.

66. The Great Escape
An absolute classic film starring Steve McQueen, The Great Escape is based on a non-fiction book by Paul Brickhill, which itself is loosely based on real events during World War II.
Allied prisoners plot to escape from a German war camp en mass, which includes an escape tunnel and a whole host of planes, trains and boats.
The star-studded cast also features Richard Attenborough and James Garner.

67. Rampage
Primatologist Davis Okoye shares an unshakable bond with George, an extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla that's been in his care since birth.
When a rogue genetic experiment goes wrong, it causes George, a wolf and a reptile to grow to a monstrous size.
As the mutated beasts embark on a path of destruction, Okoye teams up with a discredited genetic engineer and the military to secure an antidote and prevent a global catastrophe.
Starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

68. The Terminator
This 1984 film marked the start of the popular franchise and the even more popular Arnie catchphrase, "I'll be back".
Arnie plays the titular cyborg assassin who is sent back in time from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton).
This is because her son will one day become a savior against machines in a post-apocalyptic future.
The film offers plenty of action and killer lines, quickly making a classic in its genre.

69. Train To Busan
A deadly epidemic breaks out in South Korea whilst a father and daughter are travelling from Seoul to Busan via train.
Once the journey commences they realise the virus is turning people into zombies that feed on humans and turn them with one bite.
One of the zombies makes it onto the train leading the passengers to panic.
With time ticking and more and more people being infected, the remaining passengers must make some difficult decisions.
Film language is Korean with English subtitles available.

70. Midsommar
From the creators of Hereditary this disturbing tale will either leave you questioning your whole life or have you crying in confusion.

Christian’s Swedish friend Pelle (Vilhelm Blomgren) invites the group to the midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village.
What seems like a normal, carefree village soon turns more sinister than they first imagined.
The disturbing cult-like villagers will stop at nothing to get the Americans to stay even when they don't want to.

A remake of the Hong Kong film Jian Gui about a woman who receives an eye transplant that allows her to see into the supernatural world.
After being blind for decades, violinist Sydney (Jessica Alba) finally gets her vision back, but her happiness is short-lived when shadowy and terrifying images begin to haunt her.

72. Final Destination
If you're a sucker for gore then this film definitely brings the goods.
After taking her seat on a flight a gifted teen has a premonition that the plane is going to crash, killing everyone on board.
When she and a bunch of her friends end up leaving the plane, the other passengers on the aircraft face their fate.
Death doesn't think this is fair so goes after the unlikely survivors.

A cult classic about a bright and charming high school student who has a dark and eccentric side to him.

75. The Lighthouse
A psychological thriller with Robert Pattinson and Robert Eggers as two lighthouse keepers who are on a mission to keep their sanity.
The story follows Eggers and Pattinson who live on a remote and mysterious New England island during the 1980’s.
The film is inspired by a true story and details the dark and harrowing journey into madness the two keepers faced while being pushed to their limits.

76. The Report
A political thriller, The Report stars Adam Driver as senate staffer Daniel Jones, who is chosen by Senator Dianne Feinstein (Annette Bening) to investigate the destruction of CIA interrogation recordings in 2005.
While most political thrillers feature car chases and assassination attempts, The Report gets all of its tension from Daniel and his team pouring over documents for years while trying to thwart the government officials who are trying to stop them.
Strong performances all round make it a surprisingly gripping watch.

77. Bombshell
Bombshell focuses on the real life scandal surrounding Roger Ailes, who was ousted as the boss of the Fox network after a number of woman accused him of sexual harassment.
The film stars Charlize Theron, who is almost unrecognisable as news anchor Megyn Kelly, while Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie also play female Fox employees on different rungs of the ladder.
Meanwhile John Lithgow plays the sleazy Ailes who finally gets his comeuppance.

A Hitchcockian thriller about a wheelchair bound criminal who gets caught between a violent loan shark and a powerful gangster.
A recent paraplegic is given binoculars by his girlfriend.

79. The Shining
The Shining is an adaptation of the Stephen King novel and while the author apparently wasn't a huge fan of the finished product, it has become a classic psychological horror movie loved by fans. Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall star as a couple who the isolated historic Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies, but Jack's character soon possesses psychic abilities which allow him to see the hotel's horrific past. Some of the imagery from the films – such as the twins, the bathtub and that final shot – have become iconic since the film was released in 1980 and are no less chilling for first time viewers.

80. The Silence of the Lambs
This 1991 is one of the few films to win the 'Big Five' at the Oscars; Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress, and Screenplay. Jodie Foster plays an FBI trainee who is tasked with interviewing Sir Anthony Hopkins' serial killer, Hannibal Lecter. The cat and mouse game that follows is nothing short of chilling and will definitely send a shiver down your spine.

Quentin Tarantino films always pack a punch and this 2009 film is no exception.
It is a bloodied tale of revenge spanning many years and numerous countries and features an A-list cast including Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Diane Kruger and Michael Fassbender.
Christoph went on to win an Oscar for his role as SS officer Hans Landa having produced some incredibly tense scenes in the film which you won't forget in a hurry.

83. Gravity
Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a medical engineer on her first shuttle mission.

Suddenly, her secret desire becomes a reality, and she is transformed into a 30-year-old (Jennifer Garner).

87. Queen and Slim
Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith play a young black couple who go on the run when their first date goes horribly wrong.
The pair are wanted for killing a police officer during a traffic stop.
Described as a romantic road crime drama, the 2018 film is directed by Melina Matsoukas, with a screenplay by Lena Waithe from a story by James Frey and Waithe.
Bokeem Woodbine, Chloë Sevigny, Flea, Sturgill Simpson and Indya Moore also star.

88. The Gentlemen
A 2019 action comedy brought to the screens by British director Guy Ritchie.
Matthew McConaughey stars as an American who has established himself as a marijuana kingpin in England, but then decides that it's time to sell up.
The decision sets off a sequence of dodgy schemes and a comedy of errors as those around him attempt to get a piece of the action.
Also stars Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant.

89. Princess Bride
A 1987 movie which has since become a cult classic to fans across the world.
The fantasy adventure comedy film is directed and co-produced by Rob Reiner, from William Goldman's 1973 novel of the same name.
Presented in a storybook format, a sick child (Fred Savage) is told the story of a young farmhand who must go on a dangerous journey to rescue his true love Princess Buttercup.
Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mel Smith and Billy Crystal are among the cast.

90. Clueless
A 90s coming-of-age classic starring Alicia Sliverstone as the popularity-obsessed teen Cher Horowitz.
Loosely based on the 1815 Jane Austen novel Emma, Cher tries to use her popularity to turn the fortunes of others attending her Beverly Hills high school, namely a new student named Tai Frasier, who Cher believes is in desperate need of a makeover.
Romance, friendship, heartbreak and sexuality are just a few of the themes touched upon.

91. The Pianist
This touching film will take you on a journey with acclaimed Polish musician Wladyslaw. He faces various struggles as he loses contact with his family during WWII. As the situation worsens, he hides in the ruins of Warsaw in order to survive.
The Pianist, which was based on Szpilman's autobiographical account of how he survived the German occupation of Warsaw and the Holocaust. Szpilman studied piano at music academies in Berlin and Warsaw.

This is the perfect rom com starring the incredible Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey.
Wedding Planner Mary is rescued from a near-fatal collision with a runaway dumpster by handsome paediatrician Steve Edison.
The pair embark of a fairytale romance but there are a few obstacles in there way – including Steve's fiancé.

93. The Da Vinci Code
The Da Vinci Code is a 2006 American mystery thriller film directed by Ron Howard, written by Akiva Goldsman, and based on Dan Brown's 2003 best-selling novel of the same name.

The stately silence of Paris' Louvre museum is broken when one of the gallery's leading curators is found dead on the grounds, with strange symbols carved into his body. Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), a leading symbolized is called upon to get to the bottom of it.

95. Girl, Interrupted
This 1999 American psychological drama film directed by James Mangold is packed with celebrities including Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Clea DuVall, Brittany Murphy, Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Moss, Angela Bettis, Vanessa Redgrave, and Jared Leto.
It is based on writer Susanna Kaysen's account of her 18-month stay at a mental hospital in the late 1960s.
However, she has trouble understanding her disorder and therefore finds it difficult to control.

96. Cruel Intentions
Sexy and cool, and did we mention sexy? Cruel Intentions is a 1999 American teen romantic drama film written and directed by Roger Kumble and starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair.
An adaptation of the novel Les Liaisons dangereuses, written by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos in 1782, it was reimagined among a set of wealthy teenagers attending high school in New York City instead of 18th-century France.
The film started as a smaller budget independent film, but was picked up by Columbia Pictures and released on March 5, 1999.
Despite mixed critical reviews, the performances of Gellar, Philippe, and Witherspoon were praised.

97. The Silence of the Lambs
Award-winning actress Jodie Foster stars as Clarice Starling, a top student at the FBI's training academy who is used to by her mentor Jack Crawford to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath.
Lector is serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism and although crazy, Crawford believes he may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out.

98. The Personal History of David Copperfield
A fresh, funny, and utterly charming spin on Dickens' classic, proving some stories truly are timeless, Dev Patel is perfect as the eponymous character and narrator of the story.
Chronicled from his birth it shows David having an idyllic life as he is taken to visit the family of his nanny Peggoty, played by Daisy May Cooper, but when he returns his young and widowed mother Clara (Morfydd Clark) has married the sinister and cruel Mr. Murdstone (Darren Boyd).
Alongside Dev and Daisy is an action-packed cast starring Peter Capaldi, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie and Ben Whishaw as David realises his dream of becoming a gentleman and author.

99. Warm Bodies
After a plague turns most of the planet's population into brain-eating zombies, humans learn to live in perpetual fear and a quest for survival.
The film follows a rather unusual zombie named R, played by Nicholas Hoult, who sees his walking-dead friends attacking a living woman named Julie and decides to rescue her.
During their adventure to get Julie home, the two become friends and she sees that R is different from the other zombies.

100. Constantine
Based on the DC/Vertigo Hellblazer comics, demon hunter John Constantine, played by the wonderful Keanu Reeves, has literally been to hell and back.
As a suicide survivor he knows that when he dies, he's got a one-way ticket to Satan's realm unless he can earn enough goodwill to climb God's stairway to heaven.
John must help police officer Angela Dodson, played by Rachel Weisz, as she investigates her identical twin's apparent suicide but the two become caught up in a supernatural plot involving both demonic and angelic forces. Rotten Tomatoes rating: 46%
