The presenters both took to their social media pages to share the moment they were reunited to shoot their promotional images ahead of the 2018 run.
Tess, 49, shared three pictures with Claudia, 46, and captioned them: "Got to snuggle up to this one today @amiclaudiawinkleman So excited for our first day back to work @bbcstrictlyPLUS we found out the new celeb cast for STRICTLY 2018! Can't wait to share it with you…!#strictly."
In one snap, the women grinned with their arms around each other, with Tess looking pretty in pink while Claudia opted for her trademark black.
In the second somewhat blurry snap, Tess pulled a funny face while Claudia laughed, while the third saw Claudia taking a selfie with her mouth wide open.
Meanwhile Claudia shared two pictures on her Instagram, with the first one showing her posing on the pink set with an excited look on her face.
She wrote: "First day on Strictly. Tess and I are about to be told who's taking part. I'll let you know…."
The second was a black and white snap of her cuddling Tess which she captioned: "I love her."
While the women have remained tight lipped about which celebrities are taking part this year, The Sun exclusively revealed yesterday that former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts has signed up.
The singer, 36 — who found fame in the American pop group alongside Nicole Scherzinger, 40 — was handpicked by Beeb bosses as this series’ big sexy signing.
She is the third contestant to be formally contracted for the hit BBC programme, and the second to have prior dance experience after we revealed Steps singer Faye Tozer, 42, had agreed to take part yesterday.
Capital FM's regional breakfast show presenter Vick Hope, 28, will also take part in the show.
A show source said: “Ashley was a no brainer for the bookers. She’s sexy and sassy and has a bit about her.
“She has danced previously but there’s a difference between dancing in a girl band and doing ballroom.
“She definitely has rhythm but sometimes having prior dancing experience can be a hindrance as you have bad habits.
"But she will definitely look great in the sequins and is a solid signing.”
