Zak Dingle made a shocking discovery about Monty the dog tonight as he tried to rescue him from his abusive owner.
After Lydia Hart managed to track him down again, she, Zak and Sam arrived at a farm and saw miserable Monty and tied to a ratty rope.
But when they untied him they heard whining from one of the stables. It was then that they opened the doors and found dozens of Dalmatian puppies and realised the woman was a puppy farmer.
And Emmerdale viewers were in tears over the heartbreaking scenes and seeing the dogs "in pain".
One tweeted: " Hate the #Emmerdale story line about the dogs being treated awfully e.g a puppy farm. It is making me not want to watch the show!"
While another commented: "On my god those poor dogs!!! #Emmerdale."
A third remarked: "Aw I can’t be doing with animal cruelty now #Emmerdale."
"#emmerdale getting me in the heart tonight. Save ‘em all Zach!" another wrote.
This comes after Zak vowed to rescue Monty once more after coming face to face with his cruel owner.
A reluctant Zak had found her after getting Monty’s microchip checked at the vet’s.
But she was less than grateful towards them, and demanded ‘Caesar’ to come to her.
"Maybe he’s not your dog, eh?" Zak suggested when Monty failed to listen to her.

"Of course he is," the owner snapped. "The vet rang me and told me you’d got him. Here now, you stupid mutt!"
"I’m not surprised he won’t come to you if you talk to him like that," Lydia remarked.
She then stormed over when Zak gave him a treat and grabbed the lead, pulling Monty towards the car.
Throwing him into her car, Monty whined as an upset Zak told her to look after him. When Zak offered her some flea medicine, she snatched it out of his hands.
The owner, thankfully, got her comeuppance when animal welfare were called round. But Zak was separated from Monty once more.
Will they be reunited again?
