Tattoo Fixers Extreme calls in a TV advertising icon for surprising guest appearance

Tattoo Fixers returned last night (September 18) for an Extreme edition, which involved more horrendous inkings being covered up by less awful ones.

One client came to see the crew to get rid of a tattoo that he (shock) drunkenly had done on a holiday. Rather than just being an image of a giant knob, this one had the character of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon (the whole group had The Simpsons -themed tatts) holding a Cillit Bang (because he once said a friend had ‘shiny balls’).

And if you’re going to have a client with a Cillit Bang tattoo, there’s only one person who can introduce him: IT’S BARRY SCOTT!

Barry is the face — and over-enthusiastic voice — of the Cillit Bang adverts, and has become something of a meme legend. Just search his name on YouTube and see all the remixes, edits and #IlluminatiConfirmed videos about him.

He narrated the story of the Apu tattoo in his usual reserved style – “Bang! More drinks. BANG! Even more drinks!” – before rounding out with a spin on his famous catchphrase: “Bang, and the tattoo is gone”.

Over the years, the Fixers have worked their magic on some weird inkings, including a quote from The Inbetweeners and someone shagging a sheep.

Tattoo Fixers Extreme airs on Monday nights at 9pm on E4. Cillit Bang is sold in most major retailers.
