Strictly’s Karen Clifton pays gushing tribute to ex-husband Kevin after win

Karen Clifton has thrown her support behind estranged husband Kevin after his triumphant Strictly Come Dancing 2018 victory.

The 36-year-old Venezuelan beauty has been married to Kevin from Grimsby since 2015 – however they separated earlier this year.

The couple saw their rock solid romance rocked by Strictly as rumours raged Kevin, 36, and his 2017 dance partner Louise Redknapp, 44, had grown close.

But Karen had only the finest of compliments for Kev and his 2018 Strictly dance partner, 31-year-old BBC investigative journalist Stacey Dooley.

Sharing a photo of her husband and Stacey lifting the Glitterball Trophy on Instagram, Karen gushed: “Our 2018 @bbcstrictly champions! @keviclifton & @sjdooley.”

Kevin’s 2018 win marks the first time he has lifted the trophy – despite it being his fifth time overall in the final.

“So proud and extremely happy for you guys,” Karen continued.

“Kev – 5x finalist and you finally did it! Your hard work, patience and pure brilliance paid off. So proud of you,” the dance professional wrote.

And she had kind words for dance partner too.

“Stacey- you are what Strictly is about girl!! My hero,” she gushed, adding: “Love you both…”

Karen and Kevin have seen their relationship put through it’s paces over the past year – with no one seemingly aware of what status their romance is at.

Reports emerged that they had split earlier in the year – but the couple continued to perform and tour together in their joint headline show over the summer.

And Karen was one of the first to rush to congratulate three-times-married Kevin on his Strictly win on Saturday – reviving hopes the pair may yet stay together.
