Strictly fans work out two stars’ incredible secret connection as they appeared on hit show together ten years ago | The Sun

STRICTLY fans have worked out an incredible connection between Molly Rainford and pro dancer Kai Widdrington.

Eagle-eyed fans have pointed out that the CBBC presenter, 21 and the professional ballroom dancer, 27, both appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2012.

Molly first found fame aged 11 when she became the youngest ever finalist of Britain’s Got Talent.

However, she chose to continue her studies after BGT, with Simon Cowell and Sony Music honouring her with their first ever drama school scholarship at internationally renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School.

After graduating, Molly bagged the title role as intergalactic pop superstar Nova Jones in the hit CBBC show of the same name.

Meanwhile, Kai reached the final of the sixth series of Britain's Got Talent the same year as Molly appeared on the show.

Viewers were stunned by surprise link, with one writing: "Had anyone else realised that @mollyrainford and @Kaiwidd were both in the 2012 @BGT final? Now 10 years later reunited on #Strictly!"

Unfortunately, Kai's Strictly journey on the show is already over this year.

Kaye Adams was the first celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly.

The Loose Women star and her partner Kai found themselves in the bottom two alongside Bros star Matt Goss and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.

But only one could stay – with Kaye and Kai losing out.

When asked by host Tess Daly about their time on the show, Kaye said: “It was the right result and I did make mistakes, and when it comes to that high pressured situation that’s what happens.

‘’So I am delighted for Matt and Nadiya, the only person I am just sorry for is this wonderful man [Kai], who has just been so brilliant…

"It was a hell of a lot of fun, I said my ambition was to learn to love to dance, and actually I have seen a whole new side to myself, it’s opened a little door.

‘’It’s been a wonderful experience and to spend time with such talented people who love the show so much has been a joy.”

Kai responded: “Only we know how much real hard work has gone into this.

“There has been lots of ups and downs and we won’t go into them, but this lady is a trooper, and I know what she’s been going through in the week.
