Strictly Come Dancing is reportedly set to feature its first-ever all-male pairing on the new upcoming 2021 series.

It has been claimed that the hit BBC One dance show has already signed its first male celebrity and they are expected to be partnered with Graziano Di Prima in a same-sex pairing.

According to reports, stars such as Olympic Gold-medal winner Tom Daley and comedian Alan Carr have been approached by Strictly bosses.

It comes after pro dancer Katya Jones and boxer Nicola Adams made history last year as Strictly's first-ever same sex couple.

A source told The Sun: "The bosses are thrilled that Strictly will be able to show its first all-male couple this year.

"And they have their sights firmly on Graziano. There is no reason why a gay celebrity should automatically be paired with a gay dancer."

OK! has contacted Strictly Come Dancing for comment.

Last year, Ian "H" Watkins and Matt Evers made history on ITV skate show Dancing On Ice first as the first same-sex and all-male skating duo.

It comes after Strictly announced four new professional dancers for the 2021 series last month.

Kai Widdrington, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard and Jowita Przystal will be joining the Strictly cast with a chance of raising the famed glitterball trophy.

It’s not yet known if they will be joining as competitors for the show or if they will participate in the pro group dances, acting as reserves in case another star is unable to perform.

They replace Janette Manrara – who has left the competition after eight years to co-host spin-off series It Takes Two – and Anton Du Beke, who will replace Bruno Tonioli as a judge for this year’s series.

Kevin Clifton and AJ Pritchard also both left the show last year and weren’t replaced.

Elsewhere, last month, presenter Claudia Winkleman admitted that she threatened to quit Strictly Come Dancing despite making a "pact" with her co-host Tess Daly that they would leave the show together.

The 49 year old admitted that she nearly made the tough decision to turn her back on the popular BBC dance series after realising that a specific date fell on the same day she was due to take her eldest son Jake to university.

The mother of three admitted she was left "in tears" as she made an ultimatum phone call to BBC boss Sarah James because spending the day with her son on his first day as a fresher was "something parents have to go through."

Speaking on BBC Women's Hour, Claudia emotionally recalled: "I phoned the boss of Strictly quite dramatically and said, through tears, 'Sarah, I love you.

"I don't want to leave Strictly and Tess [Daly] and I have agreed we will leave together when they're done with us, but if the first show is September 13, I'm out and you'll have to go with somebody else'."

Luckily for Claudia, she didn't have to leave the show.

Speaking of Sarah's response, she added: "And there was a beat. And she said, 'Quite dramatic. We don't start that week'."

Claudia explained: "It's not that I love him more than others love their kids, but this is something parents have to go through."

As well as 18 year old Jake, Claudia shared Matilda, 15, and Arthur, 10, with husband, Kris Thykier.
