Stranger Things fans spot plot hole in Eleven and Max’s Starcourt Mall shopping spree – The Sun

STRANGER Things fans have noticed a gaping plot hole that puts a downer on the epic shopping mall scene between Eleven and Max in season three of the hit Netflix show.

In the episode The Mall Rats, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Max (Sadie Sink) enjoy a girl's day out to the Starcourt Mall to help Eleven get her mind off boyfriend Mike Wheeler and all the drama that comes with the Upside Down.

But with Eleven living in Hawkins with adopted father Jim Hopper how exactly did she afford the wild shopping spree?

It was a sentiment shared by many whoi took to Twitter to ask "where did Eleven & Max get the money for that shopping spree?!?!"

"I’m just wondering where did Eleven and Max get money to go shopping from because Max is poor and Eleven is not even supposed to leave the house so I know Hopper ain’t give her no money…" insisted another fan while a third confirmed that their biggest question of the entire third season was "how did Max and Eleven afford that shopping spree?"

The third season of the supernatural drama came to an end with Hopper (David Harbour) seemingly perishing in a blast as he sacrificed himself to save the residents of Hawkins from the Upside Down.

However there have been numerous clues since that the character somehow survived the explosion, and an extra scene after the credits did reveal the Russians are holding someone called The American captive.

Harbour revealed in December that he is just as desperate as fans of the show to know what happened to his character at the end of the third season.
“Well, here’s the thing. I always knew that Hopper had to make a sacrifice,” he said on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

“Like, he’s a jerk, and he also needs to pay for that in some way… so I thought he’d make the sacrifice.”
