Stacey Dooley's Strictly win at risk as Kevin Clifton admits he 'crumbles under pressure' in finals

The professional dancer and his partner are through to the Strictly finals this weekend but Kevin today revealed he "crumbles under pressure" when the heat comes on.

It'll be Kevin's fifth time in the finals – and he's never managed to win the Glitter Ball Trophy.

The star admits it's because nerves get the better of him when he reaches the Grand Finale.

Speaking on Chris Evans' Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning, he said: "I'm becoming brilliant at just standing there and smiling and telling everyone it's all about taking part. But underneath I'm raging!

"I don't know what it is… I just crumble under pressure!"

This is Kevin's sixth year on Strictly, and he's so far had four consecutive final spots. He was 7th place with partner Susan Calman last year.

This Saturday the couples will each perform three times during the glittering finale – a judges' pick dance, their own favourite routine from the series and a new showdance.

Stacey and partner Kevin Clifton will do their showdance to Land Of A Thousand Dances by Wilson Pickett.

Their third choice will be revealed on the evening as they battle it out for the Glitterball trophy.

Meanwhile, Stacey has revealed she plans to blow the money she's earned from Strictly Come Dancing on a dishwasher.

The 31-year-old, who is hot favourite to win the show, revealed her plan to splash out on the plate-blasting machine after announcing that she can't cook.

She told Stylist: "I can’t make any of those things. And I don’t care.

"Maybe if I had a dishwasher it would be different, but when I cook, I know I have to wash all the bowls and plates and I can’t be bothered.

“Maybe I’ll treat myself with my Strictly Come Dancing money to a dishwasher.”

Given that Stacey will have bagged £75,000 for reaching the semis – which jumps to £100,000 if she wins – she'll be able to afford the kitchen appliance of her wildest dreams.

Stacey is currently the bookies' favourite to win with Joe Sugg and Faye Tozer next in the betting, while Ashley Roberts is the 33-1 rank outsider to go all the way.
