Sony exec Kathryn Busby is to chair the board of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ Los Angeles division.
Busby, who is Senior Vice President of Development at Sony Pictures Television Networks, will begin her term from January 1 2019 and will succeed Kieran Breen, President of International Marketing for 20th Century Fox International, who has reached his term limit as an LA Board Member.
Busby was formerly Deputy Chair and will be succeeded by Karl Stewart, President and Co-Founder of 1TwentyFour.
Other new members include Waterworld actor Alexa Jago, Film and Entertainment Strategist Louise Chater, Melissa Myers, Scripted Television Agent and Partner at WME and Netflix’s Vice President of Original Series at Nina Wolarsky. They will join current Board Members Phil Cross (Treasurer), Gary Goldberger (Secretary), Adam Bialow, Tara Halloran, Sandro Monetti, and Roy Taylor.
Outgoing board members completing their term as Board Members in 2018 include Beverley Ward and Chris Rice.
