Sister, Sister stars reunited in trailer for epic Netflix special A Family Reunion Christmas

SISTER, Sister stars Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Jackée Harry have reunited in a trailer for epic Netflix special A Family Reunion Christmas.

The women appeared alongside each other in the classic 1990s sitcom as mother and daughter.

But in a new trailer for the festive special, Tia, 41, plays mum Cocoa while Jackée, 63, appears to be a member of her extended family.

While the pair maybe don't see eye-to-eye at all times in the Christmas special, they do get chance to bring the sass with a Sister, Sister reference being dropped in for good measure.

The clip features some singing and the insinuation Jackée's character ditched her sibling in her quest for fame and fortune.

At one point, Cocoa goes up to her and says: "I can't believe you did that to your sister … sister" before they share a knowing look.

Tia appeared on the original show alongside her identical twin, Tamera, from 1994 until 1999.

Family Reunion launched on Netflix in July this year and followed Cocoa and her family as they travelled from Seattle, Washington to Columbus, Georgia for a family reunion before deciding to stay in the state to be closer to their relatives.

Meanwhile Jackée has appeared in popular TV shows including Everybody Hates Chris and 2 Broke Girls.

Last year, the actress hinted a Sister, Sister reboot was in the works, but Tia then told Bustle the plans looked "dead right now".

She suggested the delays were due to rights issues, adding: "There's a lot of hands in the pot, and just trying to clear these hands has been really, really difficult. So it's kind of gotten beyond our control."

But Tia remained hopeful of working with her twin again, saying: "I always say, never say never.

"Maybe my sister and I will come up with something else to do that will make everybody satisfied or happy."
