Shameless star and glamour model ‘confirmed’ for The Apprentice

Shameless actress and glamour model Sarah Byrne is reportedly set to appear on the next series of The Apprentice.

The 28-year-old is set to star in the BBC series next month as she battles it out for Lord Sugar’s investment in her self-titled acting academy.

Sarah rose to fame as Meena Karib in the Channel 4’s Shameless from 2008 until 2009.

Speaking to The Sun , she opened up about going topless several times in the programme and posing in nude shoots for lads’s mags.

She said: "At first I was nervous about taking my top off on set but you get used to it.

"At the end of the day, it’s only acting."

Sarah already has links to the show after dating former Apprentice candidate Adam Hosker, who appeared in the show alongside Katie Hopkins back in 2007.

She is also mum to a daughter, who she has with ex-partner and former co-star Jody Latham. He was given a restraining order against her in 2016 after allegedly leaving her threating voicemails.

A spokesperson for The Apprentice told the publication: "We’re not able to reveal any of the candidates’ identities until nearer the show airing on BBC1."

The new crop of Apprentice candidates were first spotted filming earlier this year.

Back in May, a fan posted a photo on their Twitter and captioned it: "Filming of the new #Apprentice trailer advert this morning in London! – at The Scoop at More London."
